Pretend it's Marchesa
I'm sure everyone has seen this dress by now, It's completely all over the blogging world. Mines from Choies, it was about £35, pretty reasonable for a dress with bead work on it. I've been obsessed with buying beaded items for ages now, pretty much the majority of my wardrobe is embellished with beads and sequins. I do find it hard to pull a relaxed comfortable look some days with the lack of choice. Instead of keeping this dress girly looking, i thought i'd toughen up the look with a cropped biker jacket; with the coolest belt detail and chunky platform boots. Mixing soft floaty dresses with harsh leather pieces was properly the best styling tip i learnt while working in All Saints (as a VM). I've also belted it in; Us big bosom girls can't get away wearing a swing dress. Keeping with my hippy feeling this summer, my grannies vintage scarf was turned into a turban head wrap, lots of gold rings added and the best oversized sunglasses from ZeroUV. I think i turned heads the day i worn this; a tad over the top for through the day, but really when was i going to wear this dress?
I first seen this dress on Elle Fanning here, the choies dress is a pretty good Marchesa copy i'd say but I'd obviously rather have the real thing (here), maybe i will have a Marchesa masterpiece for my wedding day. If i start saving now, i will have enough in time to be a 40 year old bride. If it's good enough for Carrie Bradshaw ...
